Teaching philosophy
My personal and professional purpose as a teacher is to empower each child
to learn and grow. The ultimate goal of education is to prepare students to further
their education, go into the workforce, and to be civic minded individuals. I am
passionate about creating life long learners. I will achieve this goal by creating a
classroom environment where more than learning the curriculum occurs. It will be
a place where students will learn specific characteristic skills needed to become a positive members of society. Students will explore and learn these characteristic
skills while studying Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
Students will learn how to work together to solve problems as they collaborate with
their peers. They will grow in confidence and competence as they learn how to
become problem solvers. Students will understand the importance of following rules
and being responsible for themselves. All of the skills learned in the classroom will
carry over into real world situations. Students will come to love learning through
inquiry, creation, imagination, and hard work. It is my responsibility to accommodate
and assess my students to ensure that my instruction is meeting all of their diverse
learning needs.
